A field visit to the Iraqi reform office/ planning department
On 20/06/2017 a team of human rights department has visited the Iraqi reform office/ planning department to consult on the performance and the workflow of the department.
The team met the manager and discussed the ways and mechanisms followed in the department and viewed the performance of the prison sections including the classification of the prison, In addition to the studies carried out by the researchers, regarding the development of the professional situation in the behavior of the work of prison staff according to the requirements and norms of the human rights. After that, they discussed the matter of those who have been released from the Iraqi reform office under the amnesty law, they were (27) in 2017, as for those who have been released in June, they were (291) till 20/06/2017 including (180) of them involved by the amnesty law and (111) are subject to release or discriminatory resolution or the end of their judgment period, the team then showed it’s directions about the workflow in the department in accordance with the norms of the human rights.
